Edward R. Park

Edward is an internationally recognized painter that was born into a family of artists.  His father and brother were accomplished artists, and they started teaching him watercolors when he was 5.  Since then he has avidly continued this journey both on his own and through formal training including study at the Pont-Aven School of Contemporary Art in France and receiving his Bachelors of Fine Arts for me prestigious Ringling College of Art and Design.  This training, with his 50 plus years of painting, has allowed him to expand his skills across different mediums and genres, giving him the unique style that is his own that encompasses a range of work from abstract to realism.

His passion for his work shows in his philosophy.

"A painting should be more than a decoration that fills an empty space on a wall.  It should be a treasure that is passed on to following generations in order to contribute its valuable emotional environment to our descendants.  With this in mind, I paint subjects that give us images of peace, softness, and warmth."

Edward is known for not having a single style like many artists.  In order to fully capture a subject, it requires more than one technique and relates it to life.

"Even though you like hamburgers best of all foods, they are not your only source of nourishment."

His use of various brush and knife techniques allows his work to express the wide range of feelings that touch on your emotions.  This is easy to see when you look at the wide range of subjects that are captured so perfectly in his work!

His work has won numerous awards, and is coveted by professional and celebrity art collectors, including the late Burt Reynolds.
